Turning Dreams Into Reality

There is a clear distinction between those who live their dreams and those who do not. Achieving and living your dreams is not a matter of luck, but a matter of skill, dedication, commitment and action. It takes an increased awareness about the laws of abundance, a sense of how to communicate with people, a true dedication toward achievement and a growing certainty in your belief that you will succeed. Above all, it takes focus and discipline.

When we look at dreams and goals, the distinction that sets them apart is that goals are a commitment to action with a plan and deadline for achievement. While dreams may be in your heart and mind, and perhaps even written down, goals are your actual commitment to make things happen in your life. No different than climbing a mountain, if your goal is to reach the top, what matters most is not the distance that you will travel, but the steps that you take to travel that distance...in the footsteps of someone who has already achieved the goal, and is willing to show you the way.

Success is a journey, not a destination; and along the journey there are many milestones or accomplishments. Each is a mini victory and stepping stone toward fulfillment of your goals. As you build upon your small victories you move closer toward turning your dreams into reality.

Attitude of Gratitude by Sheri Sharman

As stated in Success Magazine's article "Too Busy for Relationships", psychology research shows people who express gratitude daily are happier and have better relationships.

Think about the people in your life; people you see or talk to daily and people you are connected with who are far away. Are you grateful that these people are in your life? Do you regularly express your gratitude through words and/or actions? Make sure the people you care about know that you care about them. Adopt a daily Attitude of Gratitude and you will see positive changes in your relationships.

Getting to Know Someone Using F.O.R.M. by Sheri Sharman

In business it is very important to connect with people when you first meet them. You should try to "build bridges" or find something in common. One of the ways you can do this is by asking them questions about their family, occupation, recreational activities and/or what motivates them in life. A simple way to remember these conversation topics is to think of the word F.O.R.M.

F = Family
O = Occupation
R = Recreational activities
M = Motivation in life

Using conversation topics like these, you are apt to find something that you have in common. Once you determine what you have in common, you've just made yourself more memorable to that new person. You can comment on your commonality when you follow-up with them which will help you strengthen your bridge or connection with them.
